The method
What is the Socratic way of prompting?
Socrates never accepted the first answer. He poked it, tested it and asked again until something true and useful was left standing. The book turns that habit into one method you can use with any AI assistant: the Socratic Loop.
- Ask
Ask an open, specific question. Give context: who you are, what you need, what “good” looks like. - Challenge
Question the answer. What is it assuming? What is the other side? - Test
Check it against reality. Ask for evidence, sources, examples and consequences, and verify the important bits yourself. - Refine
Improve the question, the answer and your own thinking, then loop again if needed.
Step wording is quoted from the current draft of the book; the final text may change.
Know when to trust an answer
AI can be fluent and wrong. The book builds the habit of testing every answer that matters before you rely on it.
Use it honestly, within the rules
Learn to say clearly how you used AI and to follow your school’s or university’s rules, so your work is unmistakably yours.
Look after yourself too
The book includes wellbeing and ethics chapters that deal calmly with harder topics and encourage talking to a trusted adult.
Sample
Same AI, different question
A short excerpt from Chapter 1, the worked example on the essay prompt.
“Write an essay about social media and mental health.”
“I’m a first-year psychology student writing a 1,500-word argumentative essay. My question is: does heavy social media use cause anxiety in 16–22-year-olds, or are anxious people simply more likely to use it heavily? Don’t write the essay. Give me the three strongest arguments on each side and tell me what kind of evidence each relies on.”
Notice what changed. The AI didn’t write your essay. It made you a sharper thinker, and the essay stays yours.

FAQ
Questions
When does the book come out?
The plan is mid-November 2026. The exact date depends on final proofs and store listings, and it will be shown here once confirmed.
Which languages?
An English edition and a Greek edition are planned.
Does the book push a particular AI product?
The chapters talk about “your AI assistant”. Brand names are kept in a Tools Appendix at the back, which can be updated as tools change.
Is this a way to cheat?
No. The book teaches you to be honest about how you used AI, to check what it says, and to follow your school’s or university’s rules.
How does the pre-order work?
Pre-orders for the English edition are planned to open in mid-November. The checkout is not connected yet, so you cannot pay today. Price, delivery date, refund policy and VAT details will be published here before any payment is taken.
What is the free Greek copy and is it protected?
In the Greek edition, readers will be able to receive a free digital copy by email, after confirming their address. The plan is a personal download link that expires and has a limit, and a visible watermark with your email. No protection stops copying completely; the aim is to discourage sharing. It is not open yet.
What data does this website collect?

I am under 18. Can I use it?
The book is written for readers from 17. Purchases are for adults, or for a parent or guardian to make. Nothing is sold, and nothing is collected from anyone, on this site today.
